If you’ve ever felt lost in the Old Testament, this course is for you. We will take a four-week long look at this section of the Bible. As we dive into the Old Testament, we will become more acquainted with its terrain, trails, and landmarks, learning to navigate the story that God is telling along the way. The Old Testament is full of the rushing wind of the Holy Spirit and breathtaking views of God’s grace in action—so come and join the exploration!

This class is an introduction to the story, themes, background, and genres of the Old Testament and will help students become acquainted with what God was doing in the story of the nation of Israel at that time. Students will develop more confidence in their ability to understand and engage with the Bible. Study select books as examples of genres and the basic literary attributes that are shared between Old Testament books.
