Greeters play a key part in a guest’s experience at Open Door. Be energetic and genuine, avoid monotones and repetition. Check-in is 45 mins early and in place 30 mins before service. Attend the Guest Services meeting before your shift. Read Friday email blasts and receive Friday Guest Services phone message. Be observant and proactive with how you approach families. Know the important features of the campus-Family Check-in, Open House room, Restrooms, CrossRoads, etc.
This role is a great launching point for volunteers as they grow. Because of the nature of Guest Services, we are also the first to know about additional serving opportunities. Whether volunteering for holiday services and all-church events, or hosting a specialized conference, Greeters are the pulse of our thriving ministries!
