Because the Bible is our authority, we must learn to understand it. While most people are content to understand the Bible at a devotional level, asking what it means to them, it is our responsibility as disciples of Jesus to ask deeper questions about what it is that God is saying to us.
This class is a deeper dive into the art and science of Biblical interpretation. What are the rules that govern how we approach Scripture? How can we tell if an interpretation is right or wrong? What tools exist to help us in our exploration of Scripture?
This class will equip you to become a student who is able to rightly divide the Word of truth, moving beyond a concern with what the Bible means to me, to being deeply shaped by the truth of what God is speaking to us in His Word.
